Position Overview:
The Ramp Manager oversees all ramp operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely handling of aircraft on the ground. This role involves managing ramp teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring compliance with aviation safety and operational standards. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of ramp management experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise ramp operations, including aircraft arrivals, departures, and turnarounds.

Oversee the team of ramp agents, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to safety protocols.

Coordinate the use of ground support equipment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and utilized.

Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.

Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards, regulations, and company policies.

Communicate with flight crews, ground operations, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Prepare and present reports on ramp operations, safety audits, and staffing requirements.

Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures.

Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.

Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.
Qualifications and Skills
Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.

Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time.

Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in ground handling or aviation operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage teams in high-pressure environments.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ramp operations, aviation safety protocols, and ground support equipment.
