Diagnose, service and repair various systems found on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, computer-controlled automatic and manual transmissions, and pneumatic systems.

Compensation:

$55,000 Per Year

  • Experience: Prior mechanic experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanic: 3 years (Required)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review operational and mechanical safety-related issues associated with the fleet.
  • Diagnose, service, and repair various systems found on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, computer-controlled automatic and manual transmissions, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis.
  • Conduct routine brake inspections and adjustments on commercial vehicles following Federal DOT requirements.
  • Maintain daily repair reports.
  • Order parts from approved vendors and drive the company pick-up/repair vehicle to pick up parts when needed
  • Work closely with the Head Mechanic, Fleet Manager, and Dispatch Team.
