Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and organized Junior Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to develop a strong foundation in corporate accounting/Finance while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining the general ledger by accurately preparing and posting daily journal entries, accruals, and other required accounting adjustments.
  • Perform daily banking activities, including preparing and distributing daily bank and book balance reports to senior leadership.
  • Process physical check deposits and digitally scan checks and remittance documentation for the Accounts Receivable team.
  • Prepare capital expenditure packages and supporting documentation for internal review and approval.
  • Perform weekly and monthly corporate credit card reconciliations, including downloading transactions, coding expenses, and recording employee reimbursements.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for monthly and quarterly sales tax filings across all applicable jurisdictions.
  • Prepare and review routine intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Compile and submit the monthly LAWA report through the designated online reporting portal.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain financial documentation and supporting records for internal and external audits.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and other recurring accounting processes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline routine accounting and finance workflows.
  • Support special projects, financial analyses, and other accounting/finance related ad hoc as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of corporate accounting or finance experience (relevant internships or academic coursework will be considered).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including XLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) and familiarity with ERP or enterprise accounting software is preferred.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and professional written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to effectively communicate financial information and collaborate with team members across the organization.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to shifting demands, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
