We are seeking a skilled and reliable Snowplow Operator to join our team for the winter season. As a Snowplow Operator, you will primarily operate a snowplow attached to a pickup truck to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas.

Compensation:

$25.00 - $30.00 Per Hour

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Prior experience operating a snowplow is a plus, specifically attached to a pickup truck, is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks in a demanding outdoor environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with local roadways and snow removal routes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possess/maintain a valid state driver's license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations.
  • Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment administered by the PANYNJ and US Customs and Border Protection
  • Must be able to pass all initial training classes and exams.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal references.
  • Able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather.
  • Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Excellent Health & Safety Awareness
  • Lift heavy objects that could reach 70 pounds (32 kilograms)
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate a snowplow attached to a pickup truck to clear snow from designated areas in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Safely maneuver the vehicle and plow equipment to effectively remove snow while adhering to established routes and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snowfall, ensuring timely snow removal services.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the plow equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and address any issues or concerns.
