Required Experience: Mid Level Location:  John F. Kennedy International Airport NY 
Our Seasonal Aircraft Deicer Agent will ensure aircraft's safe and effective deicing to uphold operational safety and efficiency. Your responsibilities include inspecting aircraft for ice and frost, applying deicing fluids, and working with large vehicles around the aircraft during the deicing process. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of deicing fluid usage, communicate with dispatchers, and conduct daily checks on equipment and vehicles.

Compensation:

$20.00 Per Hour

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  •  Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents 
  • Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  •  Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable
  •  Must be able to push, pull
  •  Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands
  •  Must be able to work at elevated heights
  •  Exposure to outdoor elements
  •  Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel
  •  Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces
  • Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels
  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms
  • Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers
  •  Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Check aircraft for leading-edge ice and frost.
  • Apply deicing fluid Type I and Type IV to aircraft wings, fuselage, and tail.
  • Safely drive large vehicles around aircraft while deicing operation is being performed.
  • Accurately record deicing fluid transactions for account purposes
  • Operate headset/radio to provide communication with the dispatcher
  • Perform daily quality control checks on equipment and vehicles
  • Must abide by and comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • Responsible for driving large, heavy vehicles around aircraft while deicing operations are being performed
  • Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at the job location
  • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
