dnata is hiring a Bagroom Agent Supervisor at JFK Airport. Pay Rate $24.00-$26.00/hr. Weekly pay, 401K, paid time off, paid training, and company uniforms.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2-3 years supervisor experience
  • Possess/maintain a valid State driver’s license and other FAA/Airport required identification/seals or authorizations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be flexible to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Specific shifts to be determined by administrative staff due to operational needs
  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during irregular operation
  • Ability to work in inclement weather
  • Must be 18 years and older
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must be living in the US for 5 years.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Completion of various reports: (Baggage Flight Reports, ULD Inventory Reports, Equipment Inspection Reports).
  • Ensure baggage personnel adhere to established company safety regulations.
  • Complete audits on arrival/departure leg of flight handling.
  • Enforcement of attendance/tardiness standards.
  • Ensure to set best practice examples for team to follow.
  • Communicate in various forms with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure team members are adequately trained on the baggage handling process(es) and procedures.
  • ULD racks and storage areas are properly staged and secured during and before of shift.
  • Lift baggage and or cargo weighing up to 70lbs. when loading/unloading aircraft, carts, and containers.
  • Loading/unloading may require lifting over 100 items for a single aircraft.
  • Push/pull loaded and empty carts and containers during loading/unloading operations.
  • Couple/uncouple carts and/or cargo container dollies.
  • Ascend/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggage.
  • Bend/stoop and crawl to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraft and containers.
  • Stand for up to 4 hours in all weather conditions to upload or unload cargo and direct traffic.
  • Walk continuously to load/ unload cargo from pallets, containers, carts, or conveyor belts.
  • Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment.
  • Drive and operate motorized equipment (Tug, Belt Loader).
  • Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags, and cargo labels.
  • Operate a computer to enter and retrieve data for weight and balance purposes.
  • Count baggage/cargo being uploaded/ unloaded during operations.
  • Connect support equipment to aircraft such as PC Air, GPU etc.
  • Use signaling devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crew.
  • Ensure compliance with dnata, TSA and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
