As a Technical Operations Facilities and Ground Support Equipment Maintenance (FX/GX) intern, you’ll work side-by-side with our Technical Operations professionals, taking on problems and learning about our industry. Internships are paid and course credit hours may be considered depending on university’s guidelines.

Compensation:

$21.00 Per Hour

Qualifications & Requirements:

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another related field
  • Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree course work
  • Individual should be a rising junior (at minimum) when internship begins
  • Must be available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2025
  • Work related travel may be required, individuals must be able to travel without any restrictions
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or at any point in the future

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Operations FX/GX interns will be working on different projects throughout our system. Potential projects include but are not limited to: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Fleet Management, Reliability, Facilities and GSE Maintenance Strategy, Telemetry, Analytics, Predictive Maintenance and more. And depending on the team, you could be located in: Denver, CO, San Franciso, CA, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Newark, New Jersey, or Washington, D.C. Regardless of your assignment, you will work on projects that will provide you with applicable, real-world experience in one of our many engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities could include the following:
  • Clean, obtain and organize operational data and enhance existing dashboards (ex. Spotfire, Tableau)
  • Review, categorize and index OEM manuals, blueprints and training materials
  • Prepare cost analysis on projects
  • Analyze equipment utilization metrics and root-cause to improve processes
  • Communicate analysis results to all levels of the organization
  • Supply chain analysis
  • Use and management of operational equipment

The starting rate for this role is $21.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
